modload question
« on: July 25, 2007, 12:47:58 AM »

hi, friends can you tell me why some modules load correctly and others not? on Windows all of them are for the same version (1.7.19) and installed with the same steps that others for example i load  ircd_init  and  ns_noticeunregistered correctly but when i load cs_register_operonly it say unable to load and this is in the same folder and the same version and the log file say this ----- [6][Module Error, Error during load time or module returned MOD_STOP] ---- Runtime module location: .\modules\runtime\cs_register_operonly.dll.a03868 ------
and the status say --- Unable to load module cs_register_operonly
i can`t load cs_register_operonly :(

••• Anope-1.7.19-svn (1251) services.VIPs.bounceme.net UnrealIRCd 3.2.x - QM (enc_none) -- build #1, compiled Jul 1 2007 12:19:47

«Global» Trying to load module [cs_register_operonly]
«Global» [cs_register_operonly] Loading module...
«Global» [cs_register_operonly] Yayness!(tm) - MODULE LOADED [Status: 0]
«Global» Module loading status: 0 (Module, Okay - No Error)

that s on linux though... i don't run anope under windows so can't test the windows .dll 's myself...

usually if a module was compiled for an older version of anope though, it will give a very different warning...

I will test this myself  on windows later and recompile it if necessary... you are the third person reporting trouble with it...

though I do compile my modules for windows, they are all untested. I ll have to look at setting up a windows box with an ircd....

Viper, I know it's kind of an old thread, but there's a Windows Dedicated box lurking (it's currently running the wiki!) and it'll be setup to do some compiling tasks at a later stage too.

Going to check out the viability of offering some kind of test-bed for them too there :)

That would be real handy... I still run windows on my desktop PC at home but it windows vista 64-bit and I m unsure whether it would work if i compile my modules under a 64bit environment.
I still have XP in a dualboot with debian on my laptop, but next week that too will be replaced by vista 64bit...

Just have to make sure i get around to testing the module before then :)

Errebehache, did you recompile or did my .ddl turn out to be aright after all ?
