Good day. I need help. Trying to start anope 1.17.13 or 1.17.18 on Unreal 3.2.1.

Same thing i doing with anope 1.17.18 - without changes =(. What i do wrong ?

should be an example.conf you have to rename to services.conf and this one you have to edit and configure. then restart anope

the log you pasted is from anope 1.7.18 and my guess is you tried to use the config file of 1.7.13 with the .18 release. Why are you even trying .13 :s
Just start with a fresh example config file that came with the  .18 release

as for the modules not loading, for those modules the .so are not present (at least the one i checked) and i guess that is because that a lot of the modules you are trying to use are wayy outdated an no longer work with the latest releases due to not being updated...

now i try to load anope.1.17.18 with example.conf . i looked in conf 1.17.13 and put all tunes in new cfg file. modules which i use was downloaded from modules.anope.org. its modules for anope 1.17.18 (i use sort button). Then i compiled, and *.so-files are have appeared in binary dir. I put all the names of modules in services.conf in section :

ok,

 Apr 06 18:06:35 2007] status: [4][Module Error, file does not exist] means that the files do not exists, exactly as the error message states, when you did: ls | grep so, which directory where you in? because there are 2 modules directorys and anope will only load modules from 1 of them.

Secondly, root should not be involved in anything Anope related. Anope is designed to configure, install and run as a non-root user.

Third alot of those modules are older modules and may not work with 1.7.18 so even after you get them installed into the correct directory they still may not load.

forth, some of those modules are not compatable with others on the list. Example is, iirc, os_tssync and unban_services are for Unreal only and viagra_deafserv doesn't work with Unreal. bubble_sort isn't a function type module but an example type module not unlike hs_moo and and ircd_catserv.

fifth, you have duplicate module entries in both ModuleAutoload and ModuleDelayedAutoload, this *will* cause problems.

sixth, all the modules in ModuleAutoload don't need to be loaded at startup and can be safely placed in ModuleDelayedAutoload.

What it looks like is you just downloaded every module and threw them in the source directory without reading what they actually do. My suggestion is to start over and leave root out of the picture and don't download any modules you haven't read the function on.

modules which you write i delete. but its no good hapen. only 10 modules are loading. in freebsd all works. that is why not looking almost i transferred those modules. i searching in forums, but i not found same thing . I do not know what to do now

Try installing as a normal user in a normal user home directory such as /usr/home/user or /home/user. In fact if you just simply download Anope as a normal, non-root user and let everything install as default, I'm positive everything will work for you.

Make sure you are doing ./Config, (g)make and (g)make install.
