Adding Opers
« on: August 03, 2010, 07:44:07 PM »

So. In my services.conf I put
Code: [Select]
oper
{
name = "espasmato"
type = "Services Root"
}
What else do I need to do to add myself as an oper. I am new to this and all. So please don't get mad at my stupidity. Lol

Register your nick and identify. Shouldn't be much other than that.

Make sure the "type" exists in services.conf.

Make sure the nick is registered and that you are opered up on your ircd.

Also, you should really consider using Anope 1.8 if you wish to have a 'stable' network, 1.9 is under development and may not be overly stable but we run it on our production network so it should be OK :)
