Anope 1.9.9 + UnrealIRCd 3.2.10.1: Services can't connect
« on: December 10, 2013, 12:49:09 PM »

[11:53] -irc.qc-2011.com- *** LocOps -- Link denied for helper.qc-2011-my.com(unknown@127.0.0.1) (No link block named 'helper.qc-2011-my.com') [@127.0.0.1.49813]

This is what I get from the logs my office server computer's IRCd . The services seems can't bind with my IRCd.

Here's my link config from my IRCD:
link   helper.qc-2011-my.com
{
 username   *;
 hostname   "127.0.0.1";
 port   6667;
 bind-ip   "127.0.0.1";
 hub *;
 password-connect   "PASSHERE";
 password-receive   "PASSHERE";
 class   servers;
};

Is there anything I must add? I'm most concern about this (unknown@127.0.0.1) cause I think that it means I must change the 'unknown' to something else.... it's been two months I'm building the config and still no luck :(

That's quite odd, it looks fine.

Can you pastebin both of your configs into pastebin.anope.org and tick the protect box and I'll read.

OK.. i think i see the issues, I THINK. Based ON UNREAL PASTEBIN

LINE  370 was already called out prior. NO need to repeat your self in line 370. Also kinda helps to keep all ur  Link blocks in one lil area.

Lines 289- 291 should look like    Lines 278 -285 You called them, but did not define them, their class or nothing. eg; servesonly, clients only, ssl. blah blah blah.!

** Advice to limit troubles when u decide to fix, list ur serveronly IP by itself.  EXAMPLE: if u have 5 server only IP, then list all 5 separately.  A link block for each. If im not mistaken, i think i had a prob with that. And that fixed it. Not really an issue tho, just extra 30 secs of work.  Try those and lemme know.. and delete 370.. You don't need it .. its basically already in LINE 290.

To Charles: Here's my logs of ./services -support that I got: https://pastebin.anope.org/index.php?page=viewpaste&id=2b697d773d

To Romeo: Services still can't connect after deleted LINE 370 and define each of the IPs' class  :(

Your services conf shows services server name as services.qc2011-my.com despite that error you showed earlier from unreal showing it named helper.qc-2011-my.com

Your services conf shows services server name as services.qc2011-my.com despite that error you showed earlier from unreal showing it named helper.qc-2011-my.com

I've copied the Unreal and the services' configs to my test computer and changed the services server names into 'services.qc2011-my.com' in both Unreal and services' configs but the error is still the same.

I'll try to inspect both of the configs again thoroughly to see if I do mistakes that makes the services can't connect.

EDIT: Have asked a friend of mine who have a test IRC network about this problem and he asked me to have it fixed by re-building new configs for both Unreal and Anope (deleted all the guides in the examples) and the services works like a charm.
