Services are currently down

Hi folks,
Well i am using anope 1.7 on windows 2000 Server with unreal3.2 IRCD. The services connected to IRCD successfully but when i type any command eg. /chanserv help it says Services are currently down. Please try again later.

Why i got this msg, can anybody help me out?

does /msg chanserv help work?

if so, your aliases are just not setup.

Well i have check the command u said but it says this...
-> *nickserv* help
-
nickserv No such nick/channel

I think there is some problem in aliases, can u help me out where to check the aliases problem

Thats more an IRCd than Anope issue, but for now just check the 'Aliases' subdirectory in your ircd's main directory.

there s obviously a problem with services ... not aliasses

even if alliases are wrong /msg nickserv should still work. check services logs
