Akill expiry inconsistancy.
« on: June 22, 2006, 02:31:27 PM »

I have found that when providing an expiring with "/msg OperServ akill add" the G:Line propogated to all servers is 2 days long even if you only specify +1 for the expiry or anything greater then +2.

Im just wondering is this a bug or is it meant to add a 2 day G:Line regardless of what expiry you specify?

For example "/os akill add +1 *@192.168.1.4 Just Testing" results in the following notice saying that the G:Line will expire a whole 24 hours after the akill expires:
Quote
-bravo.invictachat.co.uk- *** G:Line added for *@192.168.1.4 on Thu Jun 22 13:26:52 2006 GMT (from Jobe to expire at Sat Jun 24 13:26:52 2006 GMT: [Jobe] Just Testing)

I know it's unlikly anyone will use a 1 day akill but it is a possibility.

Just for reference i am using UnrealIRCd 3.2.5 and Anope 1.7.14 (the pre-compiled windows version) with NO third party modules on either.

If it's longer it should do 2 days, this is because some IRCd's don't support unglining and we're still roughly correct in that case. If the time is shorter than 2 days, it should set a shorter time than two days though...

I can understand there being no need to make the G:Line longer as when Anope is notified of a user who is supposed to be blocked by the Akill joining the network Anope should re-add the G:Line

Also Anope has no problem removing G:Lines on UnrealIRCd as far as i can see:
Quote
-bravo.invictachat.co.uk- OperServ removed G:Line *@192.168.1.4 (set at Thu Jun 22 13:26:52 2006 - reason: [Jobe] Just Testing)

Not on UnrealIRCd indeed, but on various other IRCd's there are problems (hybrid didn't have the option 'till 7.2 if my memory serves me right)
