Did you read what it said?

Open your Services.conf, search for "servicesroot", remove the # in front of this line.

This is not the right logfile ... Try another one. (Hint: there is a subdirectory called "logs")

Connected to Server 1 (127.0.0.1:6667)
Read error from server: No such file or directory (error num: 2)

Your ircd is closing the Connection.

On your IRCd, do a /mode mgd +s *, try to start anope again, check for notices from your ircd. (you need to be an IRC Operator to get all messages)

mgd, from services.conf please provide RemoteServer and ServerName directives, and from unrealircd.conf can you provide your listen {} blocks and link {} block that is specific to services?

*sigh*

RemoteServer and ServerName from services.conf (Anope's configuration file) in addition to all the listen {...} blocks and the link block specifically for anope (typically services.*) from unrealircd.conf (I don't have to tell you what that file configures, do I?)

this will be the third time (and last, if you continue to stuff me around, I'll move on to the next user who at least has a clue and an IQ evalutation that reaches into double digits much less third!)...

the LISTEN blocks (all of them), and the LINK block (the one that explicitly mentions services.mgdazam.zapto.org)

You still haven't replied with RemoteServer lines from services.conf and yes, Dax did ask for them 3 times.

Personal advice, it seems you dislike reading. You must change this behavior because 95% of an admins job is reading and comprehension. The other 5% is reacting to what he/she has read. This was evident in the first 3 lines of your help request.

"services.conf: ServicesRoot missing
services.conf: You must define the 'ServicesRoot' configuration directive
services.conf: in your services.conf file. This is a required setting that"

Yet you still asked even though you pasted the solution, proof positive that you didn't even read it. I would not say this if it were the only occurrence but alas you seem to be ignoring most of what people are telling you as well. You will find that people will quickly ignore you if you continue. You must understand that everyone here is a volunteer and truth be told, it's doubtful if anyone truly cares if you ever get your network running. They have their own lives to worry about and don't have time for fools. YOU are the one in need here. It would be in your best interest to take advantage of the generosity of those willing to help.

How do you plan to be a Net Admin if you can't yourself follow extremely basic instructions and requests?

My advice is to stop, give yourself a moment of pause, take a deep breath and actually read and comprehend what the errors/warnings and other people are telling you. This is not a race to see how fast you can fudge a network together.

I said all that in a genuine attempt to help you, if you get pissed off .. that's your choice but don't expect a pity party in return.

Hope that helps.
