./services crashes

ok i dont know whether these problems are related


firstly i start my irc server then start my ./services
then all is good no errors it seems so i try to rehister my nick with nickserv and it says services are down bu i can see they re still running

secondly ./services just closes on its own with the following msg
[Jul 31 22:54:06 2010] Read error from server: Success (error num: 0)
[Jul 31 22:54:06 2010] [cs_appendtopic] Unloaded successfully
[Jul 31 22:54:06 2010] hs_request un-loaded


my questions are this
are the two related
how do i get them to stop crashing and the services linked with unreal?

yes i am a noob i had both working fine on windows but now im usin linux (centOS) and i have only been using it for a couple of days

any help would be appreciated

Check that services-server is set correctly in unrealircd.conf, that services is ulined, and connected to a server port with no ssl, etc.
