« on: September 03, 2007, 07:34:36 AM »

I have no Clue why but i can't get any Acesse to Operserv im Identified and im channel owners in the 2 channels and they are registered but says Access denied

Code: [Select]

# ServicesRoot <nicks>  [REQUIRED]
#    Specifies the Services "super-users".  The super-users, or "roots" as in
#    Unix terminology, are the only users who can add or delete Services
#    admins.
#
#    You can specify more than one nick by separating each one by a space.
#
#    This is commented out by default; make sure you insert the correct
#    nick before uncommenting it.

ServicesRoot   "Upinsmk420 mrfret"

# SuperAdmin  [OPTIONAL]
#    When enabled, Services admins will be able to use SuperAdmin [ON|OFF]
#    which will temporarily grant them extra privileges, such as being a
#    founder of _all_ channels, ability to adjust another users modes etc..

SuperAdmin   "Upinsmk420"

Is how i have it setup and then i get this trying to use
/msg chanserv access #Rosesparadise add mrfret 1000
i get an access denied
then i type /msg operserv help and i get
-OperServ- Access denied.

Any idea what i have done wrong or what i need to do and when u reply plz do it in stupid people terms so i can understand better ty

operserv access has nothing to do with chanserv access...

to be able to add some1 to chanserv access list you need to be identified to nickserv and on the channels access list or set as the channels' founder. Other alternative is to identify to chanserv for the channel...

to have access to operserv, you must be indentified to a nick that s either SO, SA or SRand opered through /oper (unless you disabled this in services.conf)

btw, SuperAdmin does not require any parameters, it is something that can be turned on and off, and that s it.
