services databases..
« on: June 17, 2007, 07:00:06 PM »

Why does it seem like when ever services crash, that services are incredibly liable to currupt their databases? I wake up, seems like services have gone down...I start them up with -nofork -debug and they die again, I backup the current *db's and mv them and it starts up fine..Same shit happened a few months ago.

that would only happen if services crash while they are writing to the database. anope stores all modifications in runtime memory and writes everything to disk at a configured interval.
in any case, you can always restore from the last backup....
