Title: Need setup help

(oops, have to retype, wasnt registered)

i have read readme-faq-install guide.   (and linkmaker help)  and other posts on this topic.


I am using webadmin.    i have NOW got anope to run (and stay running)  but i still have this error in the log, any help?

**EDIT***  oops,  page refresshed was incorrect.  Anope does NOT stay running.

dang nabit!  still cant get past this, started over, got the same errors etc.  what stupid thing am i doing wrong? lol

i think services can't connect to your ircd... check link blocks and everything...
also what notices does your ircd send out ?

goin on that, i checked the .logs for anope and irc.   (by default irc.log is empty)  however the one i setup to log everything... has some errors...(returns an ip address(local) that is incorrect)

i think at compile time, it was included incorrectly... (someone else did it for me)  so will have to investigate.  

thanks for the tip.  (any others?)

check ur ircd's link block and make sure the remote server's (services) hostname is correct
