If you wanted to ban 127.0.0.1 permanently with a reason of "Spammer", use the command

/OperServ SGLINE ADD +0 *@127.0.0.1 Spammer

Exactly what are you entering to get that "error" message?

according to /operserv help sgline, it doesn't ban ips . it bans real names (GECOS). Try szline.
