Unexpected non-user source & segmentation fault errors?
« on: March 12, 2014, 09:04:34 PM »

This is the first time I have worked with setting up an IRC server with services but I have been an IRC user for years, I am running IRCd-hybrid which runs fine on it's own and I have checked and rechecked all configuration files a hundred times but i still get the following result when i attempt to connect services. The services immediatley disconnect themselves once they connect. The hybrid server and the services are running on the same box which is an AWS instance running ubuntu 12.04.

This is what the hybrid server gives me when services attempts to connect

Code: [Select]
irc.********.local: *** Notice -- Link with services.********.local[unknown@<server IP address>] established: (TS ENCAP CHW IE EX HOPS EOB QS) link
[3:44pm] irc.********.local: *** Notice -- Server services.********.local[unknown@<server IP address>] closed the connection
[3:44pm] irc.********.local: *** Notice -- services.********.local had been connected for 0 days,  0:00:00
[3:44pm] irc.********.local: *** Notice -- services.********.local was connected for 0 seconds.  0/0 sendK/recvK.

this is the result when i run ./services -debug -nofork

Code: [Select]

You're linking to a pretty old hybrid, docs/README says we only support Hybrid 8.1+.
