« on: February 15, 2008, 09:51:37 PM »

First: with ./service is everything ok, but when i connent to IRC i get this message NickServ: Services is currently down. To conclude nothing is starting (chanserc, etc..)  |:(

2nd: when i connect to IRC Server the  user get op. status, but not server root, or system admin....

I use the newest anope with MySql.

Please help me! (and please don't laugh on my bad english!!) thx

It sounds like you are using /nickserv or /ns without aliases being installed.

Is services actually connected to your server? IE. check /map

The op root admin question I won't answer until we know anope is actually online.

I few things to remember about bahamut configuration that isn't needed on other ircds.

1> Do NOT use SERVICESHUB unless you know what you are doing. Anope will work with SERVICESHUB, however botserv's public commands won't work. This is because in SERVICESHUB mode, services uplink does not send channel traffic to services to save bandwidth. So no function in Anope will work if it relies on monitoring channel traffic.

2> you have to set both your services name as well as the stats name to your services name. This is because on DALnet, OperServ is on a different server than the rest of services. IIRC it was done this way so if the main services server drops, the ntwork can still be controlled from an IRCop standpoint, mainly for triggers and akills.

3> HostServ will not work as Bahamut doesn't support vHosts. Bahamut does have oper hostmask hiding but that's not using vHosts, but I:Lines.

Hope this helps.

"FATAL: Can't connect to server: Connection refused" <--- that means Anope is trying to connect on an IP and port that the ircd is not listening to.

If services is connected, just /whois NickServ .. or check your logs.

Also, the following is pretty conclusive evidence as to why Anope cant link:

[Feb 16 14:59:04.714750 2008] debug: Received: ERROR :Closing Link: 0.0.0.0 (No Connect block)
