it would be really handy if there was a module that changed the topic at certain times of the day... really handy on channels that are only available for certain times that day, or to simply give variety to the channel

Hi

U can use an eggdrop script.

I'm using some advert script that sends messages at channel in some defined time.
But u can edit it so it uses TOPIC $chan, or MSG CHANSERV TOPIC $chan :)

Script name is Advert Script by Christian 'chris' Hopf from 2006 year :)

as stated this can be done with eggdrop or module, see no point in this being a core feature
