getting chanowner status is a problem
« on: October 25, 2006, 11:56:43 PM »

When a user is channel owner, and when he connects to the network, he/she will only get ~ after been identified.
That looks very logical to me :-)
When a user creates a new channel by entering it, he/she gets @.
That logical too :-)
Now that @ user can reg the chan on his "name"
And he/she will get ~ automaticly after issiueing the /cs register command.
But now the strange commes ...
Why does a user do not get ~ after identify IF he/she connects and joins the channel first.
For now, the only solution we've found is doing a /cycle or /hop

This is a kickass bug no? :r

not a bug. you must enable NSModeOnID in services.conf and make sure nickserv is set to autoop your nick in channels. you can make sure with the /ns set autoop on command.
