Title: Services not connected?
Post by: Invictible on March 18, 2009, 08:17:02 PM
In services.log it says that services connected to the server but, when I type /ns there doesn't seem to be any sign of NickServ.

Can you /whois Nickserv ?

( /ns is provided via aliases in your ircd so if they aren't right it could be giving you a false view )

/whois doesn't show any sign of NickServ or ChanServ.

Ain't linked then.

Run anope in support mode (./services -support) and let's see what the log file says.

If you're on insp, can you confirm m_services.so, m_globops.so and m_spanningtree.so are loaded.

It gives this error when trying to load m_services.so

m_services.so Failed to load module m_services.so: Unable to load m_services.so: Error when loading: The specified procedure could not be found.

Sorry I'm not an insp expert and having checked on irc.anope.org we don't have it loaded on insp 1.2 either.

Might be worth pastebinning both of your configs.

If you are using InspIRCd 1.2, you have to load m_services_account.so instead.  Also make sure that m_hidechans.so is also loaded.
