Nickserv don't want to identify
« on: April 19, 2006, 10:10:20 PM »

Hello, I found this problem: I have just updated anope from 1.7.13 to 1.7.14.
For old nick identify is not a problem, but when I register a new nickname, I have to restart services to identify it:

Global NickServ: Nick r3nz0 has been requested
Global NickServ: group r3nz0 has been created
Global NickServ: 'r3nz0' registered by ucci@192.168.20.99 (e-mail: scq@email.it)
Global LOGUSERS: r3nz0 (ucci@192.168.20.99 => 93149E57.E2CC5770.2BF1D6D8.IP) (bbb) left the network (morpheus.HayesNetwork.org).

Global LOGUSERS: r3nz0 (ucci@192.168.20.99 => 93149E57.E2CC5770.2BF1D6D8.IP) (bbb) [192.168.20.99] connected to the network (morpheus.HayesNetwork.org).

Global NickServ: Failed IDENTIFY for r3nz0!ucci@192.168.20.99
Global NickServ: Failed IDENTIFY for r3nz0!ucci@192.168.20.99

The password shown with /msg nickserv getpass is correct, but writing it for identify, it doesnt work.

I know, but I have logged out and the logged in...but nickserv still not accept my password...

I found the problem: all nickserv password are crypted, but not nickserv password of new registration, they appear to be crypted only when i restart services. Someone can help me?

go to your anope src dir, type:

make distclean
./Config
make
make install

Life will be pretty again :)
