Services Operator
« on: August 28, 2014, 02:45:37 AM »

Hey everyone, I just had a quick question...

Recently having to rebuild my private irc server from scratch, I also decided to use different services.

Loving Anope btw, the collaboration of devs and contributors did an excellent job.

Now, my question is, if I add someone as a Services Operator using the command /msg operserv oper add <nick> <type> and they are added successfully, what password would they use to ident with operserv?.

If its something I have to configure, thats fine, just point me in the right direction and ill make sure it gets done.

I forgot to mention I am running Anope 2.0.1 alongside Unrealircd 3.2

So, I take it it was a bad idea to ask for help in a support forum?

There is no password, those have to be configured in services.conf.

The on-IRC help (irc.anope.org #anope) is usually much more responsive than the forums.
