Post by: StormFury on June 11, 2007, 02:56:55 PM
Hey guys, great product here. Installs well and runs fine.

1 problem. Every time I join my channel #Hangout it does this.

[08:47::21] * Now talking in #Hangout
[08:47::21] * ChanServ sets mode: +nt
[08:47::21] * ChanServ changes topic to ''
[08:47::21] * ChanServ sets mode: -o StormFury

I have to /hop to do this

[08:47::28] * Attempting to rejoin channel #Hangout
[08:47::29] * Rejoined channel #Hangout
[08:47::29] * ChanServ sets mode: +nt
[08:47::29] * ChanServ changes topic to ''
[08:47::29] * ChanServ sets mode: +q StormFury

Any Ideas? Thanks.

I'm guessing you have NickServ AUTOOP options disabled for your nick. Make sure you identified to nickserv and try /NickServ SET autoop ON and see if it works or not..

Did that and it didn't work. It only happens in channel #Hangout

DROP the channel, register it again, and see if it still happens or not. If it still happens, your problem may be because of an incorrect u:lines or a module which can caused desynch. double check your ircd ulines and services.conf.

Do you identify before or AFTER joining the channel?

If after try uncommenting NSModeOnID in services.conf

un-commenting NSModeOnID now works.

Now talking in #Hangout
[14:32::36] * ChanServ sets mode: +nt
[14:32::36] * ChanServ changes topic to ''
[14:32::36] * ChanServ sets mode: -o StormFury
[14:32::36] * ChanServ sets mode: +qo StormFury StormFury

I tried a fresh install and have dropped and added the channel. I still get the same thing.

is it possible you have an auto identifier that identifies you as you join the channel
assuming that this happened when you rejoined the channel on connect
