forcing some nick into another by operserv ?
« on: April 03, 2007, 11:31:04 AM »

Hi.
What about a module for opers to change a nick "remotely"?
Maybe you could see this as an abusive module but I think sometimes it might be useful.
If anope can change a nick to a Guestnick, it might be possible to change it into an "entered" nick like:

/os forcenick <currentnick> <newnick>

What do you think? And why for example does unreal support sajoin sahost... and so on but no "sanick"? so I thought maybe anope can do that in a service-like way. :D

You clearly didnt see the OperServ SVSNICK command.

To use it requires you to have set yourself to superadmin using "/msg OperServ set superadmin on"

Then you can type "/msg OperServ help svsnick"
