Anope -Command Injecting
« on: April 01, 2009, 11:12:57 PM »

Hi Everyone! For all those that have developed Anope or have helped out in the community, I offer my many thanks! It is a terrific project and very useful!

I've got Anope 1.8 setup with Unreal 3.2.8 all no problem and doing MySQL dumps every 1 minute, which is great!

What I'm struggling with is getting my website content into Anope. I've prepared a PHP Bot which can easily grab commands from batch records in a MySQL database, thinking this may be the easiest way to implement integration.

Is there a way I can prevent NickServ registration and only allow Op's to register nick's? This would allow me to give my PHP Bot Op status and handle all registration, email, and pw changes.

I also thought that there may be an executable that I can send direct commands too. Is this possible?

Do you have any other ideas on how I can accomplish this task?

Thanks,
premium93!

The only way to make only opers able to register names would involve editing the source a bit or adding a module... though for changing users options like password/email, just use saset?  :)
