Logchan Config
« on: July 06, 2007, 03:31:38 PM »

Hello there guy's,

I was wondering why there is no option in the config to set
the logchan automatic on, so if it crashes or something else, that it will reports new registration's etc So no services admin's needs to type first the command to get it working..

Or did I miss something?

Kind regards,
Turbo_boy

There is a module created by Trystan known as "logchan" module. Though i can't find the source code from his main site, here is the module which i use to load on our network. Check out the attachment. I hope it will still work on 1.7.18/19 tho i didn't tested them :)

Usage:
add EnableLogChan on your services.conf

I am always doing things that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.

Actually if you start services with the -logchan switch, it will be carried over upon restart.

Code: [Select]

./anoperc start -logchan

or

Code: [Select]

./services -logchan

The -logchan switch can also be used n the example.chk script used with crontab.
