How to get user idle times ?

Hi, i want a botserv bot checking users idletimes, any
suggestions how to get them ?

you cant, idle times are only held on the users local ircd.

idle times are completely fakable anyway. I very simple script in nearly any known scriping language can reset a users idle time and you don't have to be an IRCop to do it, any user can. Even eggdrop bots have the ability to manipulate it's idle time. there are even ircd's that allow the setting of the idle time to anything desired, longer or shorter.

Resetting your idle time is easy.... just message yourself something. That doesn't mean it's impossible to check. You could send a WHOIS to the server the user is on and filter the idle time from the reply.

well to get services clients to store idle times for users, Anope would need to issue and support remote /whois' or monitor every bit of network wide data. The later is not a good idea at all. It just seems like alot of work for such a trivial gain.
