Title: Module to notice Guest#### users
Post by: Blake81 on March 27, 2006, 01:01:37 AM
Hi,

I don't know anything about writing modules for Anope, but for my IRC server, I'd like to be able to have BotServ send a notice to the joiner (if they've joined with the Java client on my website, and have a Guest#### nick) saying something like "Hello <nick>, please change your nick, so we know who you are."  I'm using Anope 1.7.13 and Unreal ircd.  Thanks for any help.

No replies?  I don't usually repost on forums, but this seems like it is quite possible, and I'd really like to have this feature on my server.

Its perfectly possible, but you didnt actaully ask a question so i suspect most people didnt feel they needed to reply.

Assuming you were asking for places to go to look at how to make such a module, the wiki has a couple of basic tutorials on it,  http://wiki.anope.org/index.php/Modules:Tutorials and the example modules are included in the source in ./src/modules/demos/
