I'm not able to get the following working

- Users which are not identified need to have -v set on the channel
- identified users will get +v by the botserv

The strange thing is when I set a -v mode on a user manualy, he is still able to talk even though he has -v?

Is this a unreal problem? Can someone tell me why the modes are not working as they are suppose to?

Also I have another question, is it possible to shutdown private messaging between users? So when they /msg or ctcp with each other?

We only want to allow users to join one channel and not use the irc server on our lan as a chat program

Firstly users dont get +v when joining a channel anyway.

Secondly unless +m is set nyone can speak unless banned from the channel.

Thirdly preventing private messaging is outside of Anope's control so youll need to see your IRCd for that.

As for not +v'ing non-registered users: it can be done using the levels system. Unregistered users will have a level of -1 by default, registered users will have a level of 0.

Just to correct you there GD, unregistered and registered users alike both have level -1, 0 is only applied to users specifically on the access list.

(Tried and tested)

Then that should be considered a bug.... Could you post it at the bug tracker ?

Ok never mind i tested it again before submitting the bug report and it is working as expected. Was just a case of in previous trials it didnt work.
