Title: the /aliases
Post by: aeon on November 15, 2009, 01:37:03 AM
hi, I recently installed the 1.9 Anope, and I must say I like the access thingy :)

however I noticed 1 and it's aggravating (I also wonder about something)

The problem:
I have include "aliases/anope.conf"; in my ircd enabled, and it works for my original services (v 1.8.2) but not for this new one. Any reason why?

And the thing im wondering about

I don't suppose it would be possible to change the message that appears in the /whois like: so and so is a Network Administrator.

I was kinda hoping in that name = part in the opertypes the name you gave it would show up in whois lol.

Aliases shouldn't just stop working, did you change the name of your services server?

The /whois reply is part of your IRCd, Anope has no control over it at all. It can be changed but you would probably have to edit your IRCds source.
