services taking modes away
« on: October 10, 2006, 05:53:06 PM »

[18:06] * ChanServ sets mode: +ntr
[18:06] * ChanServ changes topic to 'Hier kan je je popups testen. (Doobsie)'
[18:06] * services.chat4joy.org sets mode: -ntr
[18:06] * services.chat4joy.org sets mode: -o Doobsie
[18:06] * Joins: Joykeeper (Joykeeper@services.Chat4joy.org)
[18:06] * Joykeeper sets mode: +ao Joykeeper Joykeeper
[18:06] * Joykeeper sets mode: +q Doobsie

This happens when somebody joins a empty registered room. How can i stop services from taking the channel modes away everytime somebody joins a empty room.

ps Joykeeper is the services channel bot made with botserv and Doobsie is the room owner

A minor correction as found in another thread this happens when a user joins an empty channel with a BotServ bot assigned.

This problem is usually caused by a desync of some kind (usually the time) and you can try and resolve this by shutting down both your IRCd and Anope then starting them back up again.

Simply shutting down and restarting isnt really a fix - the problem is almost certainly your clocks are out of sync, unreal no doubt said "PLEASE SYNC YOUR CLOCKS" when services connected... you might want to follow that advice :)
