BotServ Command help
« on: August 04, 2006, 03:25:12 PM »

Trying to add a bot, but Im getting this error:
Bot Hosts may only contain valid host characters

As you can probably tell, Im new.....But what is a valid host character.  I've tried several things but no matter what I put there I get that error.

I've read all the documentation I can find on this, but unable to find a explanation.

Running unrealircd, anope and windrop on a win2000 server.  private network.

Thanks,

A simple tip to stick by would to only use letters numbers and .'s in the host field. There are a few others i think but those are the best to stick to with nothing else.

Any chance you could paste the exact command you was typing so we could maybe give you a few pointers.

I got it working now. I had an extra field in there.  By you asking for the exact command I was using, it pointed out my mistake.

Thanks for the quick response.

Just as much as yours has contributed.
