MODULE REQUEST:ADD SERVICES STATUS
« on: December 19, 2006, 08:33:02 PM »

Module that will add as a services staff a helper so would be: Helper-ServicesOper-ServicesAdmin-ServicesRoot

Also Would be TOO useful to have another line in the /ns info that will show the status of the user in network which means that there will be: User-LocalOper-GlobalOper-ServerAdmin-NetAdmin and the command would be like /os netstatus add User NetAdmin (the default for everyone would be user) in the /ns info would be like: Network Status: Network Admin

Thanks

User-LocalOper-GlobalOper-ServerAdmin-NetAdmin are all IRCD access levels and Services doesn't know about them nor cares about them.

ServicesOper-ServicesAdmin-ServicesRoot are all OPERServ access levels. OperServ is availible to opers only for a reason. That being that non-opered users have no business with that sort of access.

None said that services have to know about the ircd access levels! The ServicesRoot/ServicesAdmin would be available to add that access level so when someone do /ns info to know that this nick is Services Oper and Also is Global Oper on the network (in case the user is not online to make a /whois)

Again is a module... if someone wish code it!

Thanks

I thought that the code would be similar to that is used to add ServicesOpers admin roots etc.. but without any privilage! Only for giving info to users (nothing will change if is global oper or netadmin etc..)

Thanks

Another point to remember is if you specify in services.conf a network help channel, anyone who gets opped by services by being on the access list for that channel will also on networks using an IRCd that supports it, get user mode +h (Available For Help)
