Title: [request]A module for SRA setmlock on nicks, aka auspice setmlock (modes are set or unset on NS identify)
Post by: Cozmi on October 30, 2006, 09:18:40 AM
It would be just great if anyone could write such small module, to add a SRA limited command to Nickserv for setinf mode locks on registered nicks. This is very usefull in some cases, like locking flood exempt modes on bots, or killkick protection on SRA's.

If anyone will make such a module - please post it here.

Thank you.

Well no idea if anyone else is working on it.. but I have 75% of the code written.. won't have it done till after this weekend.. very busy times for me

Also note there is a minor problem and that is that Anope does not allow module coders to see what user modes are valid on an ircd. So best the module can do is allow them to do any user mode and hope its valid.

----

To Anope Devs: currently the umodes[] array is not set to come past the protocol module, thus a module coder has no way of telling what is valid, the old defines are only valid if you do an ugly hack of including the ircd headers, which isn't good, if you want to support multiple ircds.

Yeah, thanks for your work a lot Trystan, allowing just any mode is fine, since module must be limited to Services Root use only, i hardly doubt that services root doesn't know what are valid umodes on his IRCd >:)

You guys need to be patient. Trystan is a very busy person and on a normal day only has a few hours of peace to himself. If it takes a few months to get written, then so be it. Asking for status updates  every few days won't get it written any faster.

I'm sure an update will be posted when there is an update worth posting.
