looks like a very old module, perhaps you can explain what it does and there may be another module like it.

i have the source file i will upload it. the module will give modes to a user once they are added to an access list or take them if the case may be. i will have a link in about an hour or so.

Thanks, i'll give the new one a try, but thanks for posting a new link to the old statusupdate one.

Update:
the getstatusonadd has some issues, first one was
/services/modules/runtime/cs_getstatusonadd.so.cTYjwg: undefined symbol: xop_msgs
status: [6][Module Error, Error during load time or module returned MOD_STOP]

I fixed that despite my very limited knowledge of C, and got it to kind of work.  It gave modes sometimes, but not always, and sometimes it would just give +o and not +a, etc.  This is with Anope 1.7.18

So i'll just use statusupdate, which has worked just fine for me in the past.

Would be nice though if someone would update the module.  I'm sure it could be improved upon.  Also interoperability with cs_autoowner would be nice.

to be clear, I never said cs_getstatusonadd was new I simply said that what you wanted sounds like what cs_getstatusonadd does.

Also, just because a module worked for you in the past, doesn't mean it will still work for you, especially with the many changes that has taken place in 1.7 over the last few releases.
