[Request] !Google/!Calc Module for BotServ
« on: October 02, 2008, 02:09:27 PM »

Calculator function for the bots:
<ben> !calc 2 * 5
<OzzyBot> 2 * 5 = 10
Gives math answers with 4 operators (*, /, +, -).

Google search function for the bots:
<ben> !g Anope IRC Services
<OzzyBot> [Google] #1 Anope IRC Services ( http://anope.org/ )
Returns Title+URL of the 1st (I'm feeling lucky) or more google (it's a verb, can't see why it shouldn't be a Anope module).

I haven't seen any of the commands I've asked for
released in any module thus my request.

Would greatly appreciate any help in this matter.
Thanks in advanced, Ben.

You already have those eggdrop scripts. Try them

A) I thought maybe this would be a global thing for all channels? Why would I want to run an eggdrop for all of the channels on the network?
B) Maybe I could save myself a process?

Anyone else willing to help?

There is no need for this to be done officially. Anope is to steer clear of all tasks that can be done by clients and client scripts, so the official answer is "no" (making this request posted in the correct place). That said though it can be done as a 3rd party module.

Personally as one of the very few active module coders I'll have to respectfully decline.
