MySQL in SVN
« on: December 16, 2006, 12:19:20 AM »

I think I read somewhere that MySQL is being improved for 1.8.  I have a few questions for the developers about it.

How are things progressing in svn?

Is live mysql one of the things that is being implemented?

Any rough idea when some of this stuff may show up?

1) See the Changes file
2) No
3) The improved MySQL code is in SVN now as of 1208 or thereabouts.

SVN currently contains the first (and probably most important) improvements. I'm currently working on improving error-response (trying to let it continue instead of crashing), but that could take some time before it's in. Eventually MysqlSecure will be removed as well in favor of the encryption modules currently in SVN, but that will probably happen after the next release.
