Suspend/Unsuspend
« on: July 10, 2012, 04:20:14 AM »

Ok. Was goofing around with some of the functions in nickserv, and I accidently suspended myself.  ;D

So, my question should be pretty obvious. How would one go about and UNsuspend themselves? :P
I HAD service root (Which I found out doesnt mean squat when your supended) I have net admin (which apparently anope really doesnt care about). Lol. Im lost.
I hope im not the only one here to ever suspend themselves.  ;D

Register another nick, make it root, and unsuspend yourself?

Tried that. Keep getting access is denied.   ;)
Its not an overly big deal. Ill just wait until my buddy logs in and have him do it.
Thanks though  8)

Ahh... Ok. Thanks for that bit of info.  :D
I will definitively keep that in mind. Is adding a root the only thing you need to restart for?

No, there are other config settings you have to restart for, but they are all a bit more obvious like IP/host bindings ... etc.

one root can unsuspend another root so Adam's solution is the proper way .. just remember to restart anope after adding your new root and then you have:

1> be on IRC as that new root nick
2> register the nick if is doesn't already exist (only IRCops can register root nicks)
3> identify as that nick (verify with /msg nickserv status nick (status should return 3))
4> once 1-3 is done you should be able to do unsuspend your old nick

I already had my buddy do it, but I did add another root just in case this happens again.
Actually... While Im thinking about it, While looking in the DB (anope_ns_alias) what do the different numbers mean in the status field?
32768, 0, 36864, 32768, ect?

EDIT:
Also wondering about the flags field in ns_core...
