the second problem you are describing sounds like services actually crashed, but haven't timed out yet...
the first, welll... i honestly have no idea what you meant.

well anyways, when going through the modules i started updating long ago i found a copy of cs_freeze... it still compiles under anope 1.7.17, i have no idea whether it works properly though.
I haven't had time to finish off everything i started, and lately i ve almost had no time whatsoever, so don't expect it to be finished anytime soon... (got this stupid flash project for school.. and god i hate flash)

You can dl my partial update here
Note that the updating process is still far from finished, but since it compiles it might work.

Cihan, /chanserv suspend does the same thing as cs_freeze and it's officially supported, cs_freeze is not .. try using: /cs suspend and see if that fixes your problem.

Viper, my friend. Your cs_freeze module is working success on channels. But it has the same problem. When the module is working i can not use /os restart and /os shutdown commands. First i must unload cs_freeze after i must unload os_restart and i must reload os_restart , in that time i can use os_restart. This is the old problem and it is going on your cs_freeze command too. If you can check your module i will be happy. Thank you. Good works.

hmmmm what version of anope are you using, any other modules ?

i can't reproduce this bug... will probably have to do something with writing to its database since that s one of things done when /os restart'ing, but even though it s not been rewritten yet, it shouldn't affect /os restart, and on my setup it doesn't...

well obviously it s not, or not freeze alone at least (i don't have problem of the sorts)... it must have got something to do with your setup, or other modules loaded or so since i can't find a way to reproduce it.. could you list the other modules pls
i haven't tried it on 1.7.14 though... that s a bit to old imho...

can't fix a problem when i don't even know what the problem is...

ok... that s a lot of modules, of which i don't even know a few...

just to check whether it s got something to do with them, unload everything except cs_freeze and see if os restart works... if it does, well it has to be cs_freeze, but i still wonder why it works allright for me...

viper my friend. i found my error. if you load the os_restart module after cs_freeze it doesn't work. but if you load first restart after freeze there is no problem. thank you for everything. there is no problem else. thank you. good works.
