Title: IRC help site
Post by: katsklaw on June 15, 2008, 04:38:33 PM
As some of you know I've opened an IRC help site at http://ircmojo.net

Everyone is welcome to sign-up. If you have any tips or experiences you wish to share, you may do so.

I've released the first in a series of irc tutorials called SMLS.

Find SMLS - Basics here (http://ircmojo.net/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?38.0)

As an update, we've just added a downloads section for users convenience. The downloads section will be for IRCds, services, clients as well as scripts. While user scripts are accepted, we won't add just anything. There are plenty of crappy script sites out there for that.

We primarily want to focus on resources for users of all levels as well as admins and opers of all experience levels. If you have been around IRC for a few years and wish to pass along your knowledge then ircmojo.net is for you. Likewise if you are new to IRC and want to learn how to do something, ircmojo.net is for you. ;)

Content is added regularly, so check back often. If you wish to help or need help, see us at http://ircmojo.net

It was hacked a while ago with the text: "This site was b0rked", or something. From then on, the site went offline and didn't come back (yet).

That wasn't a hack, that was when the server was being prepared to be taken offline. Currently the site is offline until further notice.

The site will not be returning as I have all but lost complete interest in IRC.

I'd like to thank everyone that participated while it lasted. To be honest I knew my interest was failing some time ago and was wanting to "dump" all my experience and knowledge into a public forum before I lost all interest in the hopes that it could help improve the IRC community as a whole. I regret that my plans did not work out.
