hi all, i need one module register user for anope 1.8.x and unreal 3.2.x. i explain

effect to this modules i think is simple command and config.

important need to !register work and sync with nickserv for connected user

exemple : toto is connected and need to register

Admin setter type for toto :

!register nickname userpassword usermail     // command work in admin channel and NickSetter similar to vhostsetter.


In config services.conf

## Register Channel Config ##
#####################

ChanNickSetter : #youradminchannel
NickSetter : "yournickname"

Obvious problem with this, unless im reading it wrong is that you want people typing their passwords in a fantasy command so it would be visible..?

Yeah, for something like that where passwords are involved it's better to leave it how it is. I don't see how a fantasy command would be better...

My interpretation is that he wants an "admin" ala nicksetter to do the registrations on the user's behalf?

Still, whilst I'm not one to judge, I don't really see a growing demand/need for this.

yes fantasy command why not because i explain.

i need that fonction for one user register him in my website with panel php for noob user :)
and on my php i have one socks admin in one chan type the register for the noob user
in the chan just me and my phpsocket. i have try to inject directly in mysql and for me that dont sync with nickserv identify and register :s for that i need this fonction :)

Ok, that makes a bit more sense I think...so basically you have a web panel for people to register and you want a php bot/socket to say that with the username and password?

yes and direct sync nickserv/mysql because i test with direct socket and my socket need to user not connect :/ and that not good :( for my network
its for that i need that special fonction

So you need someone to do the socket part too or no? Also, you won't get live mysql...Anope doesnt support it. So trying to update MySQL directly will fail.

Rob developed an XML-RPC module some time ago but nobody took an interest in helping so it kind of died off but it would be ideal in this situation until LiveSQL is developed.

Currently, the registration feature does not work due to a change in 1.7.x to 1.8.x, however I'm trying to get that sorted :P
