Forum Rules
« on: February 24, 2009, 06:01:28 PM »

General rules:

1. This forum is maintained by a community of people who provide this service for free. Please don't get upset if someone doesn't respond immediately - some (but not all :P) of us have lives outside the internet!

2. Flaming/trolling will not be tolerated. Doing so will result in a ban. Opinions are welcome, but please be respectful of others who may disagree with you.

3. Please don't post one word replies - take the time to explain your point. Doing so may be beneficial to someone else.

4. Spamming will not be tolerated and will result in a ban.

5. Illegal activity will not be tolerated. Threads about warez and piracy will be deleted and may result in a ban.

6. Forum signatures are allowed, however ads or inappropriate material will be removed. Links to IRC networks are fine, just don't be annoying about it :)

Getting help:

1. Before posting, please read the documentation that comes with Anope and your IRCd. Many problems are caused by people not bothering to read!

2. Before asking for help, please search the forum. Chances are good that your question has already been answered before.

3. Please ask your question in the right forum. It's just silly to ask for 1.7.x support in the 1.9.x area.

4. If you are asking how to do certain commands, please consult the built in help system before posting here. Anope also provides http://www.anope.org/docgen/ that lists all commands for Operserv/Chanserv/Nickserv/etc.

5. Remember, the forum is maintained by volunteers. If someone doesn't reply instantly, don't take it personally!

6. If you ask for suppport in a language other than English, please try to post an English translation. This is not mandatory, however you may get a response faster.

We reserve the right to remove or edit posts without any notification for violation of these rules. Rules are subject to change at our discretion.

** If you would like to translate these rules into another language please contact me :) **
