Can't connect to MySQL
« on: October 18, 2006, 10:27:35 PM »

I tried to enable MySQL in Anope, but it doesn't work.
The LOG file says:
[Oct 18 23:22:46 2006] MySQL: has been enabled.
[Oct 18 23:22:46 2006] MySQL: client version 4.1.10a.
[Oct 18 23:22:46 2006] MySQL Error: Cant connect to MySQL: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)
: No such file or directory

what does that mean and how can I fix it?

means your mysql server isn't running or doesn't store socket information in /tmp/mysql.sock. Please refer to mysql support and/or mysql documentation.
