Post by: MicroLord on February 07, 2006, 08:30:22 PM
I think SSL-Link Support was a good idea for the future
i want to make all my server links SSL but anope and the most stats don't support ssl :{

There is very little point running services or stats with ssl (even tho i know a whole load of nets would do it).  Bascailly if you run services on the same box as an ircd, ssl is of no benifit at all.  If you care about security, you will amost certainly be doing this anyway (why send data, even encrypted data, over the net if you dont have to?).  On the off chance you really need SSL, there are always tools like stunnel which give you an ssl connection anope can use.
