Title: Move proxy detection feature to a module
Post by: malice on February 12, 2006, 05:27:22 AM
I feel the proxy detection feature should be made into a module, either include the module with the general dist or make it an optional download.

it would also be nice if it were a bit more robust and configurable. basically, copy the functionality of opsb with neostats and call it ProxyServ. then i could drop NS on my net.

Or drop neostats and run bopm.  I belive the proxy detection was removed in 1.7 anyway so theres no point in asking for a module..

It has been removed in 1.7 indeed; BOPM is a way better alternative. A module could be made, but there are no plans from the development team to make one at the moment.

I think the proxy (http://www.spondoo.com) detection would be fantastic in a module. Is it feasible to do so?
