how do i make anope a service?

I want to know how to make anope a service. so i dont have to turn them on everytime.

anope doesn't support running as a windows service.

i think it s still possible with a program like firedaemon, but i never even ran anope on windows so don't quote me on that...

Try using a searchengine of your choice ;)
Its not Anope-related.
But why do you want that? It might be posisble to add anope to your autostart.

In windows XP i would try to put a link to anope.exe into the autostart-folder.... doesn't it work? I don't use anope on windows

That makes the application start when the user logs in, a Windows service starts when the OS starts regardless of who/when someone logs in.

There is an alternative but its kind of complicated, and involves editing something called Group Policy (in this case for the local computer itself which is possible) and setting a startup script that runs Anope.exe. Usually the start up scripts specified there run after the network drivers are started so shouldnt have a problem there.
