Title: Application failed to start.
Post by: Ajay on September 10, 2006, 09:39:44 AM
"D:\Programs\Anope\anope.exe

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

Well, I've gone through the services.conf file three times and everything looks good. As you might have guessed, reinstalling the application did very little. Any help is appreciated.

Just a guess (i dont know win32 all that well) but your missing the VC runtimes (anope isnt allowed to include them with the .exe)

Yeah that error messages is the general indication that the Visual C++ Run-Times are not installed. Which you will find the need for the Visual C++ Runtimes is mentioned on: http://www.anope.org/news.php?id=6

this is also the same issue with modules for Windows. modules compiled for 1.7.15 will not work on the older version unless compiled on the older versions which i highly doubt will happen
