what abilities would that be?
being owner of all channels is basically all what superadmin is about... hence why it s only meant to be turned on when needed.

short answer is no.

It's "no" because the checks in the anpoe core are designed for such features to for super admin and not root. For that to change a module would need to basicly intercept and re-write most core functions, which is highly unlikely not to mention that it may not always be possible due to restrictions in the module API.

The best way to do this without an ugly module hack is to alter the source code, which we do not support and you would lose all support from us if you do.

i would never hack the source as i like having anope support, and since it is a no i can understand.

Viper in response to you, i was wanting to be able to do umodes without having to turn on superadmin and turn it off all the time, as i do not like joining another users channel and taking +q, as to me that is rude. it is just that there are so many things that you have to be superadmin on in order to set them, and since i am Root i would rather just be able to do them rather than have to superadmin all the time.

personally, i don't really understand the superadmin requirement for it either, disabling the superadmin cmd in config would also disable those cmds
if you want access to those commands though, you can simply fork those modules and remove the superadmin check.. that way you wouldn't have to change the src but be using 3rd party modules for those cmds.

Writing a module to allow root to use os umode is very easy. and you don't need to fork the core module to do it.
