Dear Denora friends,
About 6 years ago we announced a synergy with the Anope project, which would have lead to Denora features being ported to Anope. This has taken a bit longer than expected, but finally this moment has come.
Anope 2.0 includes comparable features to Denora, is faster and more stable, and actively maintained.
In the meantime, as most of you might have noticed, phpDenora has been replaced by MagIRC.
Starting with version 0.9.0, which will be released this weekend, MagIRC also fully supports Anope 2.0 as backend for data, and also includes a migration script for migrating your data from Denora to Anope.
It has been a 10 year long journey, with the first stable version 1.0.0 being released in 2005.
But it's time to say goodbye.
Denora's features live on in Anope 2.0, so don't be sad!
Many thanks to the whole community for giving feedback over the years, and making Denora a mature product.
Goodbye!
