Thanks for posting this, however, you are the only person that has experienced this issue. Unfortunately doing something like this could create issues in the future with people looking for support. We have specialised official fixes in place for common issues, and ones which we know are likely to work.
If the fix works for you, thats fine, however it may not for others, and they may do something which causes their installation to screw up. It's best if we stick to tried and tested fixes which we can support.
