LDAP Backend

I'm just curious if there's been any progress with being able to use LDAP as a backend for Anope.  I have a site that I'm working on (currently not publicly accessible) which integrates website registrations, Jabber, email, and several other features using LDAP.  If possible, I would like to be able to link Anope with that as well to allow for a central database for users.  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

There's a module for 1.9 which allows authentication against LDAP for Nickserv.

It's not been touched much recently due to a lack of demand but is something we should look at picking up again.

Rob has worked on an anope LDAP module in the past, and some awesome guy wrote a php site that integrated with it, but no work has been done in forever.

Any idea if said module will be made available for download anytime soon?  Would be something I'd be interested in trying out and possibly debugging (I don't quite know C/C++, but that's never stopped me from getting code to work in the past).   ;D

Email me chaz@anope.org and I'll give you the current module on the proviso you test and report back requested features etc. (In other words, give us some feedback on pushing it forward)

So far, got it down to errors in just one function; seems there's some differences between the 1.9 module tutorial and 1.9 module implementation.  I am making progress.  Maybe at a snail's pace, but it's something.
