Cant ident on Nickserv
« on: March 11, 2010, 06:51:26 PM »

I migrate from one mashine with anope 1.7.13 to another mashine to 1.8.3. When i try to ident on new irc server, i got error "Nickserv - wrong password". I think that trouble with hosts mask, i register my nick from one host (exam. host1.com), and now i try to connect from new host (host2.com) to my new irc server.

How i can drop my nick (drop doesnt work too) or change pass, or ident, or add my new host mask ? Thanks

ps. *db files i copy from old anope to new

It might be the difference between encryption methods.
Make sure if "EncModule" directive is the same in both old & new confs.
If it isn't, simply change it in the new one to the old encryption, and restart services (perhaps even '/os reload' will work).

If the methods are same, check if the issue takes place in all nicks or just yours.

Update us soon.

In my old services.conf keyworld "encmo*" is missing, in new anope services, in config file i found this:

EncModule "enc_none"

i think that problem with access-mask to my nick, but how to fix this i dont now...

When you compiled Anope 1.7.13 did you enable password encryption? If yes, then you need to use "enc_old" for EncModule, otherwise you need "enc_none".
