Title: Anope don't start
Post by: Dmitry on April 03, 2009, 10:58:57 PM
My situation: FreeBSD 7.1 Stable, anope-1.8.0, Unreal-3.2.7. I installed anope and Unreal from ports. I configured and try to start anope

Code: [Select]
./anoperc start
But

Code: [Select]
> ./anoperc start
Starting Anope
Unfortunately it seems Anope did not start successfully
This error has been logged in your Anope Log file
Located in /usr/local/share/anope/logs/
This may help you diagnose the problem
Further help may be available from http://www.anope.org/

appear on my screen. Log is empty.

If I try to run ./services -nofork or -debug, but nothing happens.

And one more thing. I think if there is

Code: [Select]
RemoteServer 127.0.0.1 1234 "passlink"
in my services.conf, than anope must try to connect to IRC server. Am I right?

I tried to run tcpdump, but I didn't see anythihg. Anope don't try to connect to IRC server.

We do not provide/maintain/support anope versions modified for specific OSes. If you want to use such a version you should contact the maintainer of the port package for support as we have no idea what changes he might have made..
